Lecturer – FR
Arestis is a fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA). He is also a graduate of Oxford Brookes University, UK.
Arestis has worked in KPMG, Limassol from 2010 until 2012, PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PWC), Limassol from 2012 until 2014, as an audit manager in LIS Primus Audit & Tax Ltd from 2014 2020. Currently he is the finance manager and head of accounts for a group of companies.
His current work duties involve: Overseeing and supervising the accounting and financial reporting function for a number of companies, monitoring the budgeting process, monthly reporting to management, ensuring compliance with CySEC reporting requirements, etc., while responding to ad-hoc day to day needs of his current role.
Over the last 8 years, he has been lecturing at ACCA level: Audit and Assurance (AA) from 2013 Dec 2019, Financial Reporting (FR) since 2015 and Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) – from 2018 to 2020. His students have won awards in Cyprus for both FR and AA papers.
