  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are mandated in more than 100 countries worldwide. All listed companies in the European Union (EU) have to prepare consolidated company accounts that comply with IFRS. It also affects associates and subsidiaries of EU-listed companies.

Course Focus

This course is designed to develop knowledge and skills in understanding and applying accounting standards and the theoretical framework in the preparation of financial statements of entities, including groups and how to analyse and interpret those financial statements. You will gain a better understanding of some of the more complex International Accounting Standards (IAS) as well as the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Once you have completed this course you will have a broader and in-depth understanding of accounting and Financial Reporting to better prepare yourself for whatever challenges you may face within the world of finance.

Course content/ Exam structure

  • DipIFR is assessed by a 3-hour+15 computer-based minutes exam
  • The exam is held twice a year- June and December at ACCA exam centres
  • You will need to achieve a 50 per cent mark or above to pass the exam.
  • You can apply online at any time to start studying DipIFR.

There are two sections to the exam, which requires a mix of calculations and written answers.
